As eGaming Compliance Officer, Esteban's role involves supporting clients, managing risks, and ensuring adherence to compliance procedures.

Esteban offers technical input for new gambling licenses and holds key regulatory roles such as AML/CFT Compliance Officer and MLRO, and supports the team with internal procedures, such as client reviews, SAR submissions, and onboarding. He actively participates in industry events and stays up to date on international money laundering typologies, FATF updates, and relevant legal changes.

Esteban brings over 20 years of experience, which includes various leadership positions such as Operations Manager, Senior Officer, Compliance Manager, and Revenue and Marketing Operations Manager. Throughout his career, he has developed expertise in a wide range of areas within the gaming, compliance, and operations sectors.

Esteban holds an Anthropology degree from the Universidad de Costa Rica and specialised certifications such as the ICA Advanced Certificate in Anti-Money Laundering and ICA Specialist Certificate in Money Laundering Risk in Betting and Gaming. Additionally, he has completed the SIFS Directors Structured Training Programme in Isle of Man to further enhance his strategic leadership capabilities in the ever-evolving compliance and gaming landscapes.

Outside of work, Esteban enjoys motorcycle racing and grilling/barbecuing regardless the weather or the season.
